The AKG C568 B Professional Small Condenser Shotgun Microphone is at home in theatres and houses of worship, or put it to work on TV or film sets, as the condenser capsule combines high directivity and a wide frequency range. With its compact and lightweight design, the C568 B also begs to be mounted to a camera.
The C568 functions as a hypercardioid mic below 500Hz, and above the 500Hz threshold its acoustic interference tube is geared for directional use. A switchable 12dB/octave 120Hz bass roll-off filter effectively suppresses impact and wind noise. The C568 B's rugged, all-metal body contains the built-in pre-amp, which requires 9-52V phantom power. An integrated, switchable bass roll-off filter minimizes mechanical noise and the interference tube design provides maximum noise attenuation. The package includes a special foam windscreen as well as a stand adapter.
