The AEA R92 Passive Studio Ribbon Microphone is what you want for close up mic-ing of the big sound right in front of your electric guitar and bass amps, drums and also more ambient sources. The bi-directional pattern offers one side for higher, more crisp tones and the other side lets you dig deep down into your lowest bass tones and handle your hi-gain amp and the distortion you love. This mic has the same big ribbon, tuning, and transformer as the R44 series, plus wind blast protection to handle proximity effect from powerful sources and extended high frequency response.
